Dean Smith was born and raised on a working dairy and beef farm in Holly Pond, Alabama. Dean is a graduate of Saint Bernard Preparatory School in Cullman, AL. Dean received a Finance degree from Auburn University, and received his Juris Doctor from Belmont University College of Law in Nashville, Tennessee.

Prior to joining Fuller, Willingham & Carter, Dean was a legal intern for NFP Team Scotti in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania assisting in brokering high-limit disability insurance for Major League Baseball player contracts and helping to solve complex legal issues that the MLB faced. In December of 2022, Dean joined Fuller, Willingham & Carter, LLC.

Dean and his wife, Kacie, are members of Cullman First Baptist Church. Dean is proud to represent the great people of Cullman County and North Alabama.
