Derek B. Hilley is a founding partner in the San Antonio firm of Hilley & Solis Law, a graduate of the University of Texas Business School in Management Information Systems (2001), and St. Mary's School of Law (JD 2008).

Mr. Hilley was an associate attorney at the Law offices of S. Mark Murray handling matters of commercial litigation and estate litigation. After a year working as an associate, Mr. Hilley left to gain extensive trial experience from the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.

Active in Bar and professional activities, Mr. Hilley is a member of the member of the Academy of Trucking Accident Attorneys, San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, Federal Bar Association, and American Bar Association . Mr. Hilley served numerous years on the Board of the Texas Exes San Antonio Chapter. He served on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Bar Association for 4 years.   

After leaving the Bexar County District Attorney's office with over 8 years experience, Mr. Hilley founded Hilley & Solis Law with Carlos Solis. The firm of Hilley & Solis Law is a litigation firm practicing in personal injury with a focus on Trucking Accidents, Commercial Vehicle Accidents and Car Accidents.
