Derek V. Lofland has been an IL licensed attorney since 2003 and a member of the Northern District of IL General Bar since 2005. He has been working in the area of Consumer Bankruptcy since 2004. In addition to handling bankruptcy matters, Derek also can help with student loan debt, including helping you obtain loan foregiveness, working out an Income Driven Repayment Plans, or exploring your options under the bankruptcy code.

In 01/2023, he was appointed to the Northern District of Illinois Bankruptcy Court Local Rules Committee and in 08/2023 he was accepted to the the Northern District of Illinois Liaison Committee. In his spare time, Derek loves to travel and be outside with his wife and their three dogs. He also loves to fish, travel, and watch football.
