Desiree Smith is a family law attorney located in Wichita, KS, whose practice includes matters of divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, guardianships, paternity, and child-in-need-of-care (CINC).

Ms. Smith completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government/Communications. She received her Juris Doctorate from Washburn School of Law in 2021, graduating with certificates in Family Law, Oil and Gas Law, and Natural Resources Law.

During law school, Ms. Smith was a member of the Christian Legal Society and the Oil, Gas, and Energy Law Society. She served as Vice-President of the Washburn Student Bar Association, as a Washburn Law Student Ambassador, and as a Junior Staff Writer, then Notes Editor, of the Washburn Law Journal. She also served as Co-Director of the Children and Family Law Center at Washburn.

Ms. Smith competed twice at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and on the 2019–2020 ABA Negotiations Team and received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards (Top Paper) in Torts, Contracts, Constitutional Law II, Legal Analysis, Research and Writing II, Oil and Gas Law, and Family Law Seminar.

While in law school, Ms. Smith worked as a law clerk for Bud Dale Law Office and the Kansas Department of Agriculture. She was also a summer associate at Joseph, Hollander & Craft in 2020.
