I have over 20 years of experience litigating all forms of commercial and criminal disputes.  I specialize in insurance coverage, real estate, intellectual property, and white collar criminal defense. 

For the first ten years of my career, I worked in San Diego at one of the world's largest law firms, Latham & Watkins.  I left the partnership in early 2001 to become a federal criminal prosecutor.  I secured criminal convictions in all 20 of my jury trials and was never overturned on appeal.  I have run my own law firm since 2004.  I am AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell for the highest standards in legal professionalism and competence.

I am the reigning United States Internet Backgammon Champion, and the Captain of the United States team in world championship competition.  I am also an expert bridge and poker player.  The reasoning skills that I have gained from those pursuits help me formulate winning and cost-effective strategies for my clients.
