Doug began his career as an assistant district attorney in Asheville, North Carolina where he worked for over 10 years. He served as Chief Assistant District Attorney for the last year as a prosecutor.

Doug has vast experience handling cases ranging from low level misdemeanors to complex felonies including first-degree murder. Doug has a particular focus in DUI/DWI defense including felony impaired driving cases.

Doug is a Board Certified Specialist in State Criminal Law. He is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
