Edward A. Marshall is a partner in the Litigation and Employee Benefits Practices. Mr. Marshall returned to the firm in 2006 after serving two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard W. Story, United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta Division.
Mr. Marshall focuses his practice on litigating and resolving complex business disputes, and has successfully resolved multiple controversies arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO). In addition, Mr. Marshall devotes a substantial portion of his practice to representing payment card processors in disputes with merchants, bankruptcy trustees, the Federal Trade Commission, and the United States Government. He has successfully represented both claimants and defendants in multi-million dollar controversies, with experience before federal and state trial and appellate courts, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, the American Arbitration Association, and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Marshall is a frequent author and speaker on topics including ERISA litigation, RICO, and principles of effective advocacy.
