An experienced trial attorney, I have received Martindale Hubbell's highest rating of “AV Preeminent” in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Defense and Litigation, have been named as a Top Laywer by Washingtonian Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, and as a Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorney by The National Trial Lawers and the Virginia by the American Society of Legal Advocates. I have tried cases throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, focusing primarily in Northern Virginia. My experience as a prosecutor has allowed me to build a successful trial practice, focusing on divorce, child support, child custody, and visitation matters. I am a recognized authority on law enforcement issues in Virginia, having represented law enforcement in over twenty police shooting cases since 2002. I also serve as General Counsel to the Fraternal Order of Police Fairfax Lodge 77 and as President of the Fairfax Fraternal Order of Police Associates Lodge 77.

In addition, I lecture at Continuing Legal Education Courses and have taught at the Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy. I am an active member of Autism Speaks, a national advocacy group, where I sit on the Sponsorship Committee and serve as Chairman of the National Capital Area Autism Speaks 5K.
