He has been married for 40 years and has 3 children, Jessica, Stephanie and Jonathan., all of whom are lawyers. Several years ago, his eldest daughter, Jessica, graduated from Loyola Law School. Since he is an alumni, he was honored to be a "special presenter" at her graduation, and had the pleasure of handing Jessica her diploma on stage.

He is also a published author, who has written a book about how his father survived the Holocaust, Chosen for What.

Mr. Kantor received his B.A. Magna Cum Laude from U.C.L.A. in 1973 and his J.D. in 1976 from Loyola Law School. Mr. Kantor was a Trial Attorney at Region 21 of the National Labor Relations Board from 1976-1980. Since 1981, Mr. Kantor has been in private practice in Beverly Hills specializing in Immigration and Employment Law and has achieved Martindale-Hubbell's highest accolade: an AV rating. In addition, he has been selected as a Superlawyer for 2013, 2014, 2015, 201, 2017,2018,2019, 2020 and 2021.

In addition, since 1981, he has written numerous articles, and he has lectured at U.C.L.A. Extension, at the U.C.L.A. Institute of Industrial Relations, and at numerous continuing education programs on immigration and labor related topics.

Mr. Kantor is a member of the California State Bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States District courts for the Central District and Southern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Kantor is a member of the  Immigration Law Sections of the Los Angeles County Bar and Beverly Hills Bar Association. He is a member of AILA,   the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where he has served on their national employer sanctions committee, and he currently serves as their Media Liaison. In addition, Mr. Kantor is also a member of the U.C.L.A. Institute for Industrial Relations as well as the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the American Bar, California Bar, Los Angeles County Bar and Beverly Hills Bar Association.

And last, but not least, Mr. Kantor speaks five languages: English, Hebrew, Farsi, Spanish, and Yiddish.
