Elissa has been practicing law for 35 years.  Upon graduating from Rutgers Law School, Newark, she was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Lawrence Lerner, J.S.C. (ret.), in the Middlesex County Superior Court, Family Part.  The first 10 years of Elissa's practice were mainly devoted to Divorce and Family Law, Bankruptcy Law and Wills and Estates.  Elissa was also a Court appointed Law Guardian for foster children.  About 25 years ago, Elissa realized that her clients wanted an attorney who could assist them in all aspects of their legal issues and she transitioned to a full service general practice law firm in order to meet all the legal needs of her clients.

Elissa has also served as a Panelist for the Union County Early Settlement Panel for over 25 years.  She is also a Panelist for the Essex County Early Settlement Panel.  Elissa is committed to helping litigants reach a fair and equitable settlement of their divorce cases, without spending a fortune.
