Biography

Ellen Rains practices in the area of insurance and reinsurance. Ms. Rains also has experience representing clients in complex commercial litigation, insurance litigation, receivership, and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters.

Before joining Phelps Dunbar, Ms. Rains worked as an associate with a Birmingham, Alabama law firm. She also completed an externship with The Honorable Helen “Ginger” Berrigan of U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana.
