Attorney Ellen Eunkyung Lee ("Lee") grew up in Korea, and majored in English Literature and Sociology at Yonsei University. When she was a junior, she studied as an exchange student at University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada where she participated in a social awareness campaign against the transnational corporations using child labor.

Attorney Lee received a Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University College of Law. During her last year of law school, she was trained to represent children at Child Advocacy Center in Dekalb County Juvenile Court, in Georgia.
