Emily is a compassionate and empathetic advocate for her clients. She works with her clients to find the best path towards resolution during what is often a very difficult and challenging time. Emily is a strong negotiator and advocates for her clients very effectively throughout the entire process. However, if a settlement cannot be reached, she is an effective and experienced litigator in the courtroom as well.

Emily has over 15 years experience in the practice of law.

Prior to co-founding Schneider Peterson Johnson, LLC, Emily had extensive experience representing clients in private practice as well as serving as a judicial law clerk in both Hennepin and Olmsted Counties.

Emily earned her Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Emily is the Vice Chair of the City of St. Paul Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission (HREEO). She also serves her community as a Board Member of the Legal Assistance of Dakota County Board of Directors and as a member of her church’s School Advisory Council.

Emily is an active member of the Minnesota State and Hennepin County Bar Associations, the Family Law League, and Minnesota Women Lawyers
