Emily Messer is an attorney practicing exclusively family law. Her practice covers every type of family law matter in Virginia, including separation, divorce, custody, visitation, and support cases. Originally from New Jersey, Ms. Messer graduated from American University before earning her law degree from William & Mary Law School.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Messer completed a one-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable David Bernhard of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. Family law cases made up a majority of the court’s docket, and through her clerkship Ms. Messer gained valuable insight into the judicial decision-making process. After completing her clerkship, Ms. Messer practiced exclusively family law at a law firm in Northern Virginia.

Ms. Messer is an active member of several local and state bar associations.
