Biography
Attorney Eric Delp is a former Senior Deputy Public Defender with more than eight years of trial experience and an acute understanding of what it takes to be successful in today's complex criminal justice system. He has personally litigated several jury trials covering areas of the law including driving under the influence, assault, domestic violence cases, theft, burglary, and even first degree murder. Attorney Delp is a zealous advocate and brings this wealth of experience to bear for his clients at Crisp and Associates, LLC. In addition to his extensive trial experience, Attorney Delp has helped thousands of clients negotiate dismissals, reduction in charges, and other favorable outcomes within the criminal justice system.
Attorney Delp attended the Pennsylvania State University where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice in 2002. He went on to attend Widener University School of Law where he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2005. In his final year of studies, Attorney Delp was selected to participate in a clinical externship with the Dauphin County Public Defender's Office. It was in this role that he realized his calling, to zealously represent those accused of crimes.
In December of 2006 Attorney Delp was offered an opportunity to work full time in the Dauphin County Public Defender's Office as an Assistant Public Defender and in 2013 earned the position of Senior Deputy Public Defender. During his tenure Attorney Delp represented thousands of clients at all levels of the criminal court system including preliminary hearings, state and county parole revocation proceedings, fugitive extradition proceedings, arraignments, and jury trials. From 2012 to 2014 he was the Public Defender liaison to the Dauphin County Drug Court Program as well as an active member of the drug court team. As a Senior Deputy, Attorney Delp played an active role in supervising one of four trial teams within the Dauphin County Public Defenders' Office.
In addition to his extensive trial experience, Attorney Delp has also done notable work in the area of criminal appeals. He has, on several occasions, appeared before Pennsylvania Superior Court. Attorney Delp is death penalty certified, and throughout his tenure, has handled many of the more complex and high profile cases represented by the Dauphin County Public Defender's Office.
