Biography
Erin Anderson Nowell is no stranger to prosecuting claims and defending lawsuits, having spent time on both sides of the courtroom. Directly out of law school, Erin began her career at Baron & Budd, P.C., a nationally recognized plaintiffs’ firm specializing in toxic-tort litigation. There she developed the skills to manage and litigate large-scale mass torts including pharmaceuticals, latex, benzene and asbestos exposure. Erin was responsible for every aspect of the litigation process from initial claim evaluation through investigation and preparation of cases for trial.
In 2007, Erin joined the international firm Jones Day to explore other avenues of litigation. Erin immediately developed an interest in class action litigation. She cultivated significant experience by participating in the defense of several class action cases in federal court including litigation relating to flooding in areas of New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, consumer fraud statutes, and federal statutes such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
In early 2010, Erin returned to her roots of helping individuals injured by corporate negligence, indifference, and simple greed. Erin relishes the opportunity to bring about justice for those individuals harmed through no fault of their own. Most importantly, Erin enjoys relieving the burden from clients who have experienced life-changing injuries and loss. Erin’s practice is now focused on individuals injured by their exposure to toxic substances or the prescribed use of pharmaceuticals.
