Biography
Erroll J. Haythorn attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology/Criminology. Erroll continued his academic studies at the Claude W. Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. Throughout his summers during law school, he returned home to Toms River, New Jersey, as a Summer Associate with the law firm of Novins, York, Pentony & Pagano, P.C. Erroll earned his Juris Doctorate in 2000.
Thereafter, Erroll clerked in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, for the Honorable James M. Havey, P.J.A.D. (Retired). After his judicial appellate clerkship, he worked as an Associate with the law firm of Budd Larner, P.C., in Short Hills, New Jersey. Erroll practiced civil litigation concentrating in products liability and medical malpractice.
In 2004, Erroll became associated with Gill & Chamas, LLC as a trial attorney. His civil practice consists of Wrongful Death and Survivorship, products liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, personal injury, negligence, construction site accidents and ski resort liability, as well as appellate work. He also maintains a criminal practice that includes all municipal court matters such as motor vehicle violations and DWI and Superior Court criminal matters. Mr. Haythorn was named a partner to the firm in 2014.
Erroll is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and New York State and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court of New Jersey. He is member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (American Association for Justice) and the Monmouth and Middlesex County Bar Associations.
