I grew up in Iowa the son of a trial attorney, and have been very passionate about becoming a lawyer from a young age. For undergraduate studies, I received my B.F.A. from Iowa State University in 2003. I then attended Washburn Law School in Topeka, Kansas, where I obtained my juris doctorate and participated heavily in Washburn’s Moot Court program. After law school I joined my father’s general litigation practice handling all types of legal matters.

In 2009, I moved back to Kansas with my wife and daughter. In addition to practicing law, I have been a part-time instructor teaching law classes at Hutchinson Community College.

In 2010, I joined Bretz & Young, LLC as “Of Counsel”, expanding the firm’s personal injury litigation practice to include Social Security Disability claims. I also handle a variety of other legal matters in the areas of litigation, employment law, domestic law, business and commercial law, contract law, criminal defense, real estate law, and probate.
