Legal Experience

Before becoming a founding partner of Voicu & Nica P.C., Ms. Nica gained legal experience by representing insurance companies and self-insured clients in all areas of tort litigation, including but not limited to, personal injury resulting from automobile, premises, products and general liability, long-term care & elder law, medical and legal malpractice, toxic tort, asbestos litigation, no-fault, worker’s compensation, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims and insurance coverage issues.

Ms. Nica worked for a national, full-service law firm with approximately 900 attorneys and 28 offices in 14 states and the District of Columbia, which offered legal experience in more than 35 specialties. She interned for a large international law firm in their medical malpractice team, representing hospitals, physicians, diagnostic laboratories and blood banks in negligence and wrongful death cases on behalf of insurance carriers.

Ms. Nica clerked for the NYS Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, Committee on Professional Standards, investigating inquiries concerning the professional conduct of attorneys who are admitted to practice, reside, have an office in, are employed or transact business in the Third Judicial Department.
