Biography
I am the senior partner at Jenkins & Bowen, P.C. I began my legal career in 1972, and started my own firm in 1984. Since that time I have focused my practice on zoning and land use, personal injury, insurance defense, and local government law. My representation of numerous cities and counties across the state, along with my authorship of the Steinberg Act and role as chair of the Zoning Law seminar conducted almost annually by the ICLE, are evidence of my experience with zoning and land use in Georgia. I have also represented accident victims suffering serious injury, and have recovered in excess of $1 million in a single accident case. I am recognized as an authority on auto insurance in Georgia along with my co-author, Wallace Miller, for the annually published treatise, Georgia Automobile Insurance Law, Including Tort Law. I specialize in litigation, not only in state and superior courts, but also in appellate courts. I have tried over 500 cases in the trial courts, and handled more than 100 cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court.
