Gary Port is a prominent attorney who leads a dedicated group focusing on family law, divorce, custody, and support issues. His practice also encompasses complex commercial litigation, addressing the overlap between commercial law and property division in divorce proceedings. As a retired Lieutenant Colonel, he heads the Military Law/Veterans Rights section, working diligently to secure discharge upgrades and represent veterans and service members in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and Courts-Martial. In recognition of his pro bono efforts, Gary was honored by the Center for Children, Families and the Law and the Gitenstein Institute for Health Law and Policy, and was featured in the New York Law Journal's Pro Bono category in 2016. With over thirty-seven years of experience, he has successfully tried hundreds of cases in various courts. A graduate of New York University and Brooklyn Law School, Gary is also committed to military service as an Army Reserve Ambassador for New York, providing counsel to the Commander of the United States Army Reserve.
