Before beginning his private practice, Attorney Girum Tesfaye spent several years working with federal regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He is now a founding partner at Tesfaye Law, where he assists clients with immigration, family law, and a variety of other issues. He has been named in the Top 40 Under 40 for Virginia by the National Trial Lawyers, in the Top 100 by the National Black Lawyers, and in the 10 Best Immigration Attorneys for Virginia by the American Institute of Legal Counsel. He is currently a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Alexandria Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
