Biography

My practice focuses on representing ordinary people who have legal problems. Currently I am a full-time public defender. I represent indigent people who are accused of committing crimes.

Additionally, I represent childen who the government has removed from their home. In these cases, I work toward solutions that either allow children to return home or to find a safe living situation.

In my arbitration matters, I handle financial industry cases. I have acted as a panelist and a chairperson in various cases.

I am firmly committed to the concept of "equal justice under law." The S.L.J. matter (along with the result obtained) demonstrates my commitment to this. In S.L.J., the right to court appointed counsel would have been rendered meaningless had the court not enforced the government's obligation to compensate court appointed counsel.
