Biography
Grant joined the Beasley Allen Law Firm in November 2010 as an attorney in the Toxic Torts Section. Since joining Beasley Allen, his practice has concentrated primarily on the BP Oil Spill litigation.
Education
EducationGrant received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2010. During law school, he worked as a legal intern with the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), where he assisted HUD employees with grievance filings, disciplinary proceedings and midterm bargaining negotiations. He also worked as a summer associate for the law firm Bingham McCutchen LLP, where he focused on securities litigation and international discovery issues.
Grant received a B.A. in political science from the University of Tennessee in 2007. He finished in three years, graduating summa cum laude, and was a member of the University Honors program. He wrote his senior thesis on the Second Amendment, focusing on the historical setting in which it was enacted and the individual nature of the rights it bestows. The summer before graduating he interned for the law firm Maloney & David PLC, an experience that served as the impetus for him to attend law school.
