Biography
GregBoos is an attorney in the Bellingham office of Cascadia Cross-Border Law. In 2010 Chang & Boos dissolved and Cascadia Cross-Border Law was created. Mr.Boos limits his practice to matters relating to U.S. immigration lawwith an emphasis on business immigration. He received his Juris Doctordegree from the University of Idaho in 1977 and has practiced law formore than 25 years. Mr. Boos is a member of the Washington State BarAssociation, the Federal Bars for both the Western District ofWashington and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the AmericanImmigration Lawyers Association ("AILA").
Mr. Boos has been recognized as an expert in U.S. immigration law andpolicy by U.S. federal and state courts as well as by various tribunalsoutside of the U.S. He is listed in An International Who's Who ofCorporate Immigration Lawyers.
Mr. Boos is recognized internationally for advocacy on border andimmigration issues, including spearheading the opposition to IIRAIRA§110. He was the first inductee into the "Order of the Smashed Brick",an award given by the Canadian government in recognition of outstandingefforts of those Americans who devote much of their time and energiesto strengthen the relationship between Canada and the United States.
Mr. Boos was awarded AILA's 2003 Advocacy Award in recognition ofefforts in the development of immigration policy. The award recognizesMr. Boos as having "a well deserved reputation as one of the fewnational experts on border security and immigration issues" andcommends him for promoting "thoughtful initiatives that will enhanceAmerica's security in ways that will not destroy our commerce oreconomy, or inhibit the efficient and secure flow of people andcommerce at our borders and ports of entry."
