Biography
Helene Colin earned her B.A. in Political Science and International Relations, summa cum laude, from the University of California San Diego, in 2004. She graduated magna cum laude from California Western School of Law with her J.D. in 2008, where she served as a Senior Editor with the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal. During law school, she served as Judicial Extern to Hon. Magistrate Judge (now District Judge) Anthony J. Battaglia for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

Helene has volunteered offering free immigration clinics throughout San Diego County and has participated in free immigration phone banks offered by Univision, a local Spanish-speaking television channel. She has also participated in volunteering events organized by the San Diego County Bar Association and has appeared on Univision to discuss immigration issues.
Born in the Ivory Coast, and raised in France and Mexico, Helene is fully triligual in English, French, and Spanish. As an immigrant to the United States herself, she has a unique perspective on the immigration process.
Helene is a member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of California and Immigration Courts nationwide. Helene strives to provide quality compassionate, competitive legal services in all areas of immigration law. Helene's practice focuses on family-based petitions, waivers, petitions under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), petitions for U nonimmigrant status under the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act, citizenship and naturalization, and removal defense.
