My practice is focused primarily on DWI, traffic, drug offenses and other serious misdemeanor and felony charges including assault, sex crimes and domestic abuse. My philosophy is that each of my clients deserves the best representation possible and that I will work diligently on their behalf. Prior to joining The Twiford Law Firm in 1994, I served as the elected District Attorney for the First Prosecutorial District of North Carolina for twelve years. Prior to that, I served four years as an Assistant District Attorney. The First Prosecutorial District includes the counties of Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans.  While serving as the District Attorney, I aggressively prosecuted those individuals charged. Since joining The Twiford Law Firm, I have defended my clients with equal vigor and determination.
