I am an entertainment lawyer with substantial experience for over 40 years in representing recording artists, filmmakers, songwriters, screenwriters, record labels, publishers, artist managers, producers, authors including representation in the film, television, radio and literary industries. Among others, my most well-known clients have included George Clinton, Sippie Wallace, The Romantics, The Bass Brothers, Eminem, Marilyn Manson, Pantera, Marcus Belgrave, The GO, Mike Posner, Rodriguez, Elmore Leonard, Westbound Records, Warner Tamerlane and Atlantic Records. I draft and negotiate contracts, protect clients' intellectual property, mediate and litigate entertainment related disputes and network on behalf of my clients. I serve as an expert witness in music litigation and I am involved in many entertainment organizations (e.g. MusiCares and Detroit Music Awards). I also act as an artist manager in the music industry. Finally, I am an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan Law School teaching entertainment law.
