Biography

Husna Alikhan is the Principal Attorney at Alikhan Law Office LLC. Since 2005, the law office has been providing legal services in the areas of immigration law; family law; consumer bankruptcy and estate planning for primarily Nevada residents. Ms. Alikhan is licensed as an Attorney with the State Bar of Nevada; the Nevada Supreme Court; the Nevada District Court; the Federal Court of the United States, Ninth Circuit; the Law Society of Upper Canada; and the Federal Court and Supreme Court of Canada. Ms. Alikhan received the designation of one of the Top Three Immigration Attorneys of Las Vegas by ; Best Divorce Lawyers in Las Vegas 2016 by Expertise; and the Top Lawyer 2015 recognition by . For the past seven years, Ms. Alikhan has also been an Appointed Mediator with the Foreclosure Mediation Program offered through the Supreme Court of Nevada. Acting as Mediator, she has assisted numerous homeowners and banks reach resolutions for distressed real property in Nevada.

Ms. Alikhan has been active in the community and various professional associations. She has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association for nearly two decades. Ms. Alikhan's fluency in Hindi/Urdu has assisted individuals from the South Asian subcontinent successfully navigate the immigration process in both Canada and the United States. Her commitment to pro bono work earned her Lawyergist's Top Contributor Award 2016 and Lawyergist's Client's Choice Award 2015. During the Summer of 2016, Ms. Alikhan will be completing her Masters in Law, focusing in Gaming Law and Policy as well as the Summer Institute Program from the Saltman Center for Dispute Resolution; both from the Faculty of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada.
