Ian M.A. Van Leer is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of California. Prior to opening his firm, Ian worked in both civil litigation and family law firms in both San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Ian graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, where he was a member of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and served a term as its Lead Notes Editor. During law school, Ian volunteered his legal services as a certified law student to homeless military veterans through the Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic. Ian graduated with a B.A. in creative writing from the University of Arizona. Ian is originally from New York and has lived in California since 2008.
