Biography
Ian M. Watt is an associate attorney at Friday & Cox practicing in the area of general civil litigation. Mr. Watt received his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Area Studies from Kenyon College in 2013. He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2017. During his time in law school, Mr. Watt held legal internships with the Honorable Edward J. Borkowski, a Plaintiff’s personal injury firm, and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office in the Domestic Violence Unit, where he was a certified legal intern and conducted preliminary hearings under the supervision of licensed attorneys.
Prior to joining Friday & Cox, Mr. Watt gained extensive civil litigation experience at a Plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in Pittsburgh. He also has experience with a Workers’ Compensation defense firm, where he represented Employers and their Insurers against Workers’ Compensation Claims. Mr. Watt also worked for an insurance defense firm where he gained experience defending miscellaneous personal injury claims, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims and insurance bad faith claims. Mr. Watt is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the Western District of Pennsylvania. In his free time, Mr. Watt enjoys spending time with his wife, their two sons, their dog and two cats.
