I'm tremendously blessed to be called to represent working South Carolinians who've suffered the misfortune of being injured at their jobs.  It's very fulfilling to be able to help people when they need help the most. 

I am one of three former Commissioners of the Sout Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission who works at Mickle and Bass, LLC. I was appointed to the Commission by Governor Jim Hodges and served on the Commission from 2002 to 2008. Governor Hodges chose me to serve as the Commission’s Chairman from 2002-2005. 

I have practiced law in personal injury firms throughout South Carolina. Over the years of my personal injury practice, I have dedicated myself to representing individuals injured at work, as well as victims of auto wrecks and other accidents. Working out of the firm’s Myrtle Beach office, I remain dedicated to protecting the rights of my clients against the abuse of insurance companies.
