Attended college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and received a Bachelors Degree in Communications in 1988.  Was a two year letterman for the University of Arkansas Razorback Football Team, and a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.  Attended Law School at the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and received a Juris Doctorate Degree in May of 1991.

While in law school, began clerking for the law firm of Odom & Elliott, P.A., and went to work for the firm as an associate after graduating from law school and passing the Arkansas Bar examination in August of 1991.  Became a partner at Odom and Elliott, P.A. in January of 1994, and continued to work as a partner with the firm until August of 2006.

In August of 2006, left the firm of Odom & Elliott, P.A. with partner Don R. Elliott, Jr., and started the Elliott & Smith Law Firm.  We primarily handle personal injury cases including tractor trailer wrecks, car wrecks, medical malpractice claims, nursing home neglect, products liability claims and wrongful death claims.
