Jacob ("Jake") Kimball graduated from Brigham Young University in 2002 and earned his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2005. While in law school, Jake worked for two years as an associate editor and staff member for the Ohio State Law Journal. In addition, while in law school, The Ohio State University awarded him a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship. Prior to graduating from law school, Jake clerked for a law firm specializing in real estate transactions and development. Following graduation, he worked at a law firm representing real estate developers and homeowners associations.

However, Jake's practice soon shifted to include personal injury, premises liability, insurance claims, civil litigation, and family law, which are now his primary areas of focus.

Jake is admitted to practice in the State of Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Colorado and El Paso County Bar Associations, as well as the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.

Jake speaks and writes Portuguese fluently, having lived two years in São Paulo, Brazil.
