Biography
Jim’s practice focuses on international intellectual property disputes at the U.S. International Trade Commission under Section 337 and at Customs and Border Protection. He has represented clients in more than 60 Section 337 cases. He draws on his background in complex technical and administrative litigation and in science and technology. Jim frequently lectures and coordinates conferences and presentations on Section 337, and publishes on IP and ITC issues. He is a Past President of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association and is the current Chair of the ITC Committee of the AIPLA.
Jim is a graduate of Boalt Hall, University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and has a B.S. and M.S. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jim is also a registered patent attorney.
