I have been practicing law since 1990. I obtained early litigation experience as a member of the Iowa Legal Clinic while in law school. I also clerked for a personal injury attorney.

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. I graduated from the University of Iowa Law School receiving my law degree and graduating with distinction. I am admitted to practice law in both State and Federal Courts in Missouri and Kansas.

I started my legal career working for a defense litigation firm gaining insight into  "the other side's" preparation of a civil case. Three years later I joined a law firm in Kansas City, MO and began representing victims of injury accidents and medical negligence. Two years later, I helped start a law firm in Kansas City, MO representing personal injury victims where I became a partner in 1999.

Fourteen years later, I decided I could best serve my clients by opening my own office representing injured victims of personal injury including medical negligence, wrongful death, workers' compensation, and more.

I am an endurance athlete and participate in triathlons and marathons. As part of giving back to the community, I raise money for charities and volunteer in those events as well. I am also an active member of the YMCA
