Biography
James Roberts grew up in a small town outside of Waco, Texas. He moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas. After graduating, James then moved to Sacramento, California to attend University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated with Distinction and obtained a Certificate in Advocacy. James loves a good fight and wants to help as many people as possible so he jumped at the opportunity to join the Public Defender's office during his second year of law school. He gained experience in Federal Court at the Federal Defender's office in the Eastern District of California and then took a job with the Colorado State Public Defender's office in Grand Junction, Colorado. As a Deputy Public Defender, James was promoted quickly into handling all levels of misdemeanor and felony cases, including sexual assault and murder. James is happy to be back in Texas using his experience to passionately and effectively advocate for his clients.
