Biography
Jay Holland joined Lee Kaess PLLC in Wilmington, NC, on January 11, 2021, after working two years with Colombo Kitchin Attorneys in Greenville and Washington, NC. With experience representing insurance, health care, banking and other business entities, he worked in the Raleigh office of Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP (now Fox Rothschild LLP) from 2002 to 2008 when he moved to the Wilmington office to service the litigation needs of the firm’s clients in eastern North Carolina for nine years.
Jay graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992 with a B.A. in Public Policy Analysis and earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2002 after working seven years in the property and casualty insurance industry as a claims representative. He was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers® in 2012 and has been included in the editions of Best Lawyers in America® since 2017. Jay is rated as "AV Preeminent" by Martindale-Hubbell®, and he was selected as the 2019 "Lawyer of the Year" in Wilmington for "Litigation - Insurance" by Best Lawyers in America®.
Jay looks forward to continuing to serve clients across eastern North Carolina.
