Born Jackson, Mississippi, October 28, 1939. Pearl High School, 1957; Hinds Jr. College, 1959; University Southern Mississippi, B.S. Business Administration, 1962; Jackson School of Law (Now Mississippi College School of Law) LLB. Admitted Mississippi Bar, October, 1966; Admitted Texas Bar, November, 1988; Admitted to practice in all state courts in Mississippi and Texas; United States District Courts Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas; United States Supreme Court.
Practice concentracted on catastrophic personal injuries, brain injury and wrongful death cases resulting from defective products, automobile and trucking accidents. Trials and affirmed verdicts againsts insurers for bad faith. Obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts for clients for personal injuries and wrongful death. I have more than 130 reported appellate and United States District Court opinions. Significant, often reported cases in Bad Faith Cases: McGee v Reserve Life Insurance Company and Employers Mutual Casualty Company v Tompkins , Mississippi Supreme Court. Significant reported case involving oil field accidents and liability of owners of the premises exercising right of control: Coho Resources v McCarty.
