According to an article in the New Mexico Bar Bulletin, Jan “Helped spearhead collaborative divorce, a process aimed at helping families resolve the legal, emotional, financial and parenting aspects of divorce without resorting to litigation” She frequently lectures on Collaborative Divorce topics for Continuing Legal Education Seminars in New Mexico for attorneys, financial and mental health experts.

Jan handles multi-layered cases involving business valuation, high profile and professional goodwill, multi-state businesses, prenuptial agreements and tax issues. Her practice focuses on providing sound legal advice while protecting the privacy and compassion her clients need.

In addition to serving on numerous committees, over her thirty plus year career, Jan has freely given her time to the New Mexico Bar Association by serving as a speaker, lecturer and author of materials for Continuing Legal Education seminars held across the state. Jan has lectured on such topics as Collaborative Divorce, litigation divorce, adoption, domestic violence, COBRA issues, forensics, business valuation and professionalism.
