Jean Capriotti is founder of Capriotti Law LLC and is a family law practitioner in Madison, Wisconsin. She handles complex divorce and other family law matters.  Jean also proudly serves as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem for Dane and Columbia Counties. Jean is a member of the Dane County and Wisconsin State Bar.

In 1996, Jean received her B.A. in Journalism from Michigan State University. She worked as a journalist and marketing coordinator before returning to East Lansing in 2003 to study law at Michigan State.  She received her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University in 2006. While in law school, she was member of the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Board.  Jean has passed the bar in two states Michigan 2006 and Wisconsin 2008.

After law school, Jean worked as an associate for a small firm in Central Michigan. Jean opened her own practice within one year. She relocated to Madison, Wisconsin with her husband and in 2009 where Jean started her current practice.

Jean strives to minimize conflict and help clients amicably settle each case without dragging it out. While her goal is to help clients reach an agreement with the opposing party, she remains prepared to zealously advocate and go to trial on each of her client’s behalf if necessary.
