I am an attorney in Durham, North Carolina, focusing my practice on estate planning, elder law, and adult incompetency. I serve as an attorney guardian ad litem through the Durham Public Defender and appointed counsel in child enforcement proceedings. Additionally, I manage several online legal tools at the University of North Carolina's School of Government, including an index of confidentiality obligations related to social services information and a tool to assess the collateral consequences of a criminal conviction (C-CAT). I serve my community as a volunteer attorney with Legal Aid of North Carolina, and I manage the web site and summer internship program of the Justice and Peace Commission of Liberia.
