Jeff is the founder of Dobson Law. He grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest until he graduated high school and enlisted in the military. Jeff served multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and other locations before retiring. He spent the vast majority of his career stationed at Fort Bragg assigned to US Army Special Operations Command.
After graduating from Campbell Law School, ranked as one of the top schools in the nation for trial advocacy and litigation, Jeff gained extensive experience in all aspects of criminal defense, family law and law enforcement liability. During Jeff’s tenure at Campbell, he served at Scotland County Public Defender’s Office, Lee County and Wake County District Attorney’s office, and with State Senator Tom McInnis. He also clerked at Cheshire Parker working state and federal cases centered around murder, organized crime, drug trafficking, and other felonious charges.
A recent victory came in April 2020, when Jeff filed suit against the Wake County Sheriff’s Office after the Sheriff began infringing on the constitutional rights of Wake County Citizens. After arguments were heard, Jeff won a temporary injunction for his client, preventing the Sheriff from further infringing on this citizen’s rights and ensuring the Sheriff continued his statutory obligations and amongst his other duties.
Jeff is a licensed attorney in North Carolina and specializes in criminal defense, family law, and law enforcement liability. Jeff is also licensed to practice in the Western and Eastern Federal Districts in North Carolina.
