Jennifer “Jen” Knies is an experienced military veteran.  As a retired US Army JAG Officer and combat veteran, Jen possesses an in-depth knowledge of military law, as well as a unique understanding of the challenges military members and their families face during divorce and parenting disputes.  She has litigated hundreds of criminal cases and has years of experience in dealing with military commanders on behalf of service members.

Jen has over fourteen years of experience as an Army JAG attorney.  She is a recognized expert in the areas of sexual assault and crimes against children.  Jen’s passion is for protecting the interests of her clients and achieving the best possible outcome for them.

Jen has trained extensively in all areas of domestic relations law.  She is a certified Child and Family Investigator, Parenting Coordinator and Decision Maker, and Mediator.  Her knowledge and experience in these areas allow her to provide her clients with expert advice regarding parenting time disputes and other family law matters.

Jen is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and theMarshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.  She also earned a Master of Laws in Criminal Law from the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School.
