I enjoy the "people" aspect of practicing law-whether it be my clients, opposing counsel, or the opposing party, I work hard to understand that each individual comes into a situation with their own perspective and life experience, and by understanding these concepts I can work more effectively to bring conflicts to resolution. I am a passionate advocate for my clients, but I understand that not every point needs to be argued over, and that judges and juries appreciate an attorney with a "big picture" view. A little about my personal life: I am an avid reader-I prefer fiction and biographies. I love music, although work and family obligations mean I don't get to as many concerts as I used to. My family and I enjoy spending time outdoors-hiking, fishing, golf, tennis, and camping. My wife is a PhD Chemist working in the power industry. We have two boys that keep us busy! I'm a bit of a car nut, but I don't have a "project" or "dream" car just yet. I volunteer with the Greensboro office of Legal Aid of North Carolina and as a "sidewalker" at Horsepower Therapeutic Riding Center in High Point, NC.
