My practice concentrates on federal, state and local tax controversies, including tax audits, tax liens, offers in compromise and tax collection matters. Since becoming an attorney, I have helped hundreds of businesses and individuals efficiently resolve major tax and financial problems.

Well-versed in all areas of tax controversy, I excel at complex audits, offers in compromise, employment tax liabilities, resolving tax liens, and protecting clients against unwanted and unexpected collection efforts. I also handle a variety of insolvency and bankruptcy cases for both businesses and individuals including debt settlement, business liquidations, and advising officers of fiduciary liabilities during insolvency. 

In the 2010 through 2012 and 2017 through 2020 issues of Oregon Super Lawyers magazine, I was recognized as a Rising Star in the area of tax law. The annual Rising Stars list identifies the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for ten or fewer years. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state receive the honor.

I hold leadership roles in the Oregon State Bar, where I plan and present educational seminars, serve on legislative workgroups, and author articles about developments in the law.
