Joan Rettinger is an attorney licensed to practice law in California. Ms. Rettinger has a proven track record of success.  She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from California Western School of Law.  While in school, she earned American Jurisprudence awards in Community Property, Child Welfare Law & Policy, Business Organizations, and Contracts II. In addition, Ms. Rettinger earned an Area of Concentration award, in Child, Family and Elder law. 

Ms. Rettinger was born and raised in San Diego and is dedicated to serving her community. She is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and volunteers with the San Diego Food Bank. Ms. Rettinger is able to use her compassion and empathy to advocate for her clients, truly understanding their needs and goals.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Rettinger attended San Diego State University where she was awarded a Ronald Reagan Scholarship and studied at New College, Oxford University.

Ms. Rettinger worked for San Diego State University for five years before embarking on her journey through law school. During her time employed at San Diego State University, Ms. Rettinger served as a Staff Representative on the SDSU Academic Senate representing over 1,700 staff members.
