John Fisher is a lifelong Toledo/ Northwest Ohio resident. He attended St. Francis de Sales High School and graduated both undergraduate and law school from the University of Toledo.

John believes in giving back to the community that has been so good to him. To that end John formerly served on the board of, and served as a member of the Executive Committe, of The Safety Council of Northwest Ohio, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting workplace and home safety through education and training to help ensure compliance with governmental and industry safety, enviromental, and health standards.

John has also previously served as President of the board of Racing For Recovery, a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of, and recovery from, all types of substance abuse by offering support (to the addict themselves as well as their entire family), and alternative outlets for addictive behavior, and the board of the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio. DCNW is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide sliding-scale, reduced cost (often times free) dental care to those who otherwise would not be able to afford dental care.

In his leisure time in the warmer months John and his family enjoy spending time on South Bass Island (Put In Bay).
