Mr. Maples is a graduate of CSU, Sacramento (B.S. in Criminal Justice - Investigations). He served a year-long internship as an investigator with the Sacramento County Public Defender's office, prior to several years experience in counseling juvenile delinquents in secured settings. Mr. Maples has a P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training) Basic Academy Certificate as a graduate of the Sacramento Police Academy and was previously employed by the City of Sacramento Police Department. He graduated from Lincoln Law School, located in Sacramento, California and  served internships with the Yolo County and Sacramento County Public Defender's Offices, prior to practicing civil law. He is licensed to practice before all of the courts of the State of California and in the Eastern and Northern Districts of the United States District Court. He has argued cases in State of California Administrative Hearings and Workers' Compensation Hearings. Mr. Maples has also handled claims through the Federal Torts Claim Act. He has argued matters before the 3rd District Court of Appeals for the State of California. In addtiion, he has successfully arbitrated medical malpractice claims through the Kaiser Arbitration process and handled bad faith insurance claims. Mr. Maples maintains a keen interest in clinical medicine, particularly Orthopedics and Neurology.  He is a past exhibitor at the Northern California Abilities Exposition for victims of Brain Trauma and Spinal Cord Injury. He is a current and/or past member of the El Dorado County Bar Association, Sacramento County Bar Association, Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, American Trial Lawyers Association, Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, American Association for Justice, Fort Sutter Lion's Club, and the California Farm Bureau. He is a Judge Pro Tempore for the El Dorado County Superior Court. Mr. Maples was the managing partner and chief trial attorney for the Law Offices of Stawicki and Maples for 17 years. He is now the CEO of the Law Offices of John Christopher Maples (Professional Law Corporation), maintaining an active civil litigation and trial practice, emphasizing personal injury law, including Auto Accidents; Wrongful Death; Traumatic Brain Injury; Spinal Cord Injury; Fracture/Paralysis; Amputations; Injury to Children; High Voltage Electrical Accidents; Uninsured/Under-insured Motorist Claims; Back & Neck Injuries; Trucking Accidents; Burn Injuries/Scar; Motrocycle and Bicycle Accidents; Bus, Boat, Train Accidents; Dog Bite/Animal Attacks; Slip/Trip/Fall Accidents; Theme Park and Amusement Park Accidents; and Medical Malpractice.
