Biography
John Sirois practices in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid long-term care planning, special needs planning, and probate. He helps families throughout South Louisiana plan their estates, protect thier loved ones, and avoid devastating long-term care expenses.
John was born and currently resides with his family in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He received his B.S. degree in Business and an M.B.A. from Nicholls State University and his law degree from Tulane University.
John is also a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Investment Management Analyst and advises retirees and pre-retirees about retirement planning.
John is a frequent speaker on estate, retirement, special needs and Medicaid long-term care planning. John has taught courses at Nicholls State University covering investments, retirement planning, TRSL, LASERS and DROP planning, IRA distributions, long term care/Medicaid planning, and estate planning. In addition he has appeared as a guest speaker at Money Watch Live and teaches continuing education courses for attorneys, financial planners, CPAs and insurance agents. He is the author of Retirement and Estate Planning in Louisiana which covers various Louisiana specific planning issues, pitfalls to avoid, and clears many misconceptions Louisiana residents often have regarding retirement and estate planning.
